North of Portopiccolo, just ten minutes’ drive along the Sistiana Bay, sits Duino.

But Duino’s star attraction is the famous Castello di Duino. Perched precariously above the waves below, and with views that stretch far across the bay, this ancient castle has stood here since 1389.
