Portopiccolo Summer Art 2021 is a proposal of contemporary art spread over different settings in the Borgo:
Art Gallery in Strada delle Botteghe, Falisia Resort with a new space dedicated to the female figure, Salita alla Torretta with a setting of beach “flavor”. An Art Season built on the comparison of styles, expressions and interaction with the authors, for an exhibition program full of surprises.
Active since 2015, it has seen, between solo and group exhibitions, the passage of a hundred authors, from the unattainable Francis Bacon to the presence of established painters and the promotion of new talents. It is a cultural space that wants to be an accessible meeting and cultural enrichment… in the style of the Borgo.
With the reopening 2021, the Falisia, a Luxury Collection Resorts and Spa, has dedicated a space to contemporary art – The Wall – where to privilege the proposals of female figure representations series, through expressive forms and interpretations that pass from the world of fashion shows to symbolic representations out of time.
An absolute novelty in 2021 for the Art Gallery was the transformation of the warehouse into an atelier for (but not limited to) photography, an idea born from the “occupation” of space by a young, inspired, New Yorker school photographer who has pitched his tents in Portopiccolo: photographic production loft, but also a space dedicated to workshops open to public.
New artistic proposal under the arcades of the Art Gallery in Portopiccolo: “The Energy of Places”, a space dedicated to international contemporary art and the territory managed by CASA C.A.V.E. in collaboration with Gruppo78 International Contemporary Art. Take part in the inauguration with a preview of the works of Manolo Cocho – by the art critic Maria Campitelli, Saturday 16 October, from 11:00.
